After another month or two, everyone outright belly laughs every time Johnny gives another excuse as to why he doesn't have his homework. Over time, the class realizes that Johnny is just making up excuses for why he doesn't have his homework when the fact of the matter is that he just doesn't do his homework, and it's the same with birthers. Birthers have made up so many excuses as to why they have not advanced the ball on this matter one iota in more than two years that people realize that, like the class realizes with Johnny, there is no substance to what they are saying.
