Huckabee/Trump 2012? Former Gov. Open To Sharing Ticket With Birther Mogul

Real estate mogul Donald Trump has become a surprisingly credible presidential candidate nearly overnight — he came in second in a recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll — by single-mindedly championing the phony birther conspiracy theory to capture media attention. But despite the fact that his candidacy has been so far built entirely on a fringe right-wing fever dream, Trump has been validated by a number of leading conservatives, including Fox News’ Sarah Palin andSean Hannity, and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.

And today on Laura Ingraham’s radio show, potential GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee revealed that he met with Trump last weak and considers him to be a “very serious contender.” In fact, Huckabee wouldn’t rule out sharing a ticket with Trump:

HUCKABEE: Well, I had a wonderful meeting with Donald Trump. I think he’s a very serious contender. He’s going to get in. I kind of went into the meeting thinking he’s not really going to run. Came out thinking, by gosh, he really is. [...]

INGRAHAM: Could there be a possible Huckabee/Trump ticket in the offing here?

HUCKABEE: Never say never. I don’t know. But, whether Donald Trump would ever want to be seen on the same stage with me, I don’t know. But I found him very engaging, and a very smart guy. And I think people will dismiss him at their own peril.

While a handful of conservatives have been willing to tell Trump to knock off the birther talk, it’s astonishing how few have been willing to publicly condemn it. On CSPAN’s Newsmakers this weekend, Priebus — though he seemed loathe to talk about it and changed the subject whenever possible — refused to call Trump’s birther focus a “distraction,” let alone nonsense, when pressed repeatedly by the hosts.

Hey Squeekers, have you been watching The Borgia's? It's on Showtime and I think you'll like it. If you don't get Showtime (even though we have 5,000 other stupid channels) and are interested, it's on YT. There are lots of male grunty beasts aka priests, cardinals and a even a Pope. Who knew?.

I heard Greta tonight interview donald Trump. i heard Ann Coulter shooting her mouth off on the eligibility issue. Both women revealed that they consider themselves part of the educated elite that looks down on the voter.

Their elitism denies respect for the voter's right to the facts so as to do their civic duty and cast an educated vote. All these two elitists did was to talk about their beliefs. Not once did either refer to the needs of the voter, of American citizens. They are only condcerned with their elitism.

Before this I thought it would be Trump that would look down on the voter. As it turns out he is the only one suggesting the importance of revealing the facts.

Greta and Coulter prove themselves nothing but exponents of the educated elite much to their shame.

Romney/Trump sound good to me - It really sounds like a winning ticket. It's going to have to be a VERY good ticket. Let us never forget the number of blacks together with the Hispanic vote together with liberal whites - These are big numbers which is why I say the ticket has to be real good -

This article calls Huckabee a candidate, but could someone remind me -- he hasn't actually declared his candidacy, has he? Not even an exploratory committee?

In fact, I haven't gotten the impression that Huckabee is really intending to run, though I think he'd have a real shot at the nomination if he did.

I got a PM from Annie and I'm printing that one - I meant to print MY PM which I neglected to do but it was the same thing saying I was attacking Friday - The bottom line here there have been much stronger posts to put it mildly - I wonder at this time if Logan has anything against clowns referring to Squeeky's video - Strange happenings here IMO -

Annie's PM to me:

Logan has been doing the same thing to me. In fact, he suggested I edit my post (which is no longer possible, as the edit feature is only accessible for an hour or so). The he said, he'd change the post for ME? Can you imagine? I declined and told him to write whatever he wanted. All I did was write that Sammie isn't the sharpest tool.

This place is getting ridiculous.

Honestly, Logan asked me to make a change to a fat joke I made yesterday . . . so I changed it to a thinly veiled allusion, which seemed to satisfy him . . . or her.

I don't know who you are, Mr. Logan, but I'm going to blow my own horn here. I think it's warranted.

If you go back on ANY thread here you will not find me using four-letter words or calling people any obscene names. I'd like to think again that I've been one of the nicer ones. Maybe the only mistake I've made is going on and on about a subject no one seems to care about and maybe being a complete bore - I'm referring to golf - Sooooorry! I'm going to watch that.
